Homeowner checklist
- Confirm Seattle City Light electric service at the install address.
- Choose one rebate path only — do not stack coupon + post-purchase form.
- Confirm the model is on SCL’s Tier 3/4 QPL. See models checklist.
- Get permits. Hire a licensed plumber / electrician when required — DIY path still must meet code and manufacturer specs.
- If post-purchase: file within 93 days of purchase date with invoice image.
- Keep serial, model, and paid receipt in your rebate folder.
Hire licensed when required
City Light lists DIY tips for some paths, but electrical and plumbing work still fall under local code. When in doubt, hire licensed trades. This site does not provide install how-tos.
